Fair service, bad business - Boingo hot-spot


Boingo provides reasonable service at most airports and some hotels. Unfortunately, their business office, which has no trouble generating a credit card charge, is unable to create and invoice/receipt/bill. I spend more time on hold for customer service for them to create a manual email documenting my charges and payment, than I do using their service. Stay away.

Sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with us. We want you to be a happy Boingo customer, and I’d like to help. On our Self Care web portal (my.boingo.com), you can opt-in to automatically get receipts via email. Most of our customers love this feature; it’s so convenient. Simply log in with your Boingo username and password, click “Update Contact Info” and select the checkbox next to “I would like to receive email receipts for all charges to my credit card.” Additionally, in the Receipts area of my.boingo.com, you can select “Send Receipt” to email a specific receipt to yourself.

Additionally, I sincerely regret that you had to wait so long on hold. Our average hold time runs about 90 seconds, so there definitely must have been some out-of-the-ordinary experiences occurring when you called. In any event, that doesn’t excuse the experience you had, and we’d like to try to make things right. If you’ll send me an email at lsanyal at boingo dot com, I’d like to give you a couple of access passes for your next few Boingo connects.
